Lessons

Preston Rosedale Farm is dedicated to creating a fun and safe learning atmosphere. Our program is designed to create well balanced confident riders in all disciplines. We offer group and private lessons on your own horse, or on one of our top quality, well-trained, fit and safe school horses.

Lessons are open to riders of all ages and levels. Group lessons are available with a maximum of four per group. Beginner riders are taught all aspects of riding including horse care and safety around horses. All first time riders start with private lessons until they are able to manage in a group situation safely.

Leisure riders are taught safety and basic skills.  They learn that you do not have to compete to enjoy riding at Preston Rosedale Farm.

  

Students are able and encouraged to compete with the farm on their own horses, or on a school horse. Competing at many levels of dressage, jumper and eventing, there is a place for riders of every level, and discipline in our program.

Lesson Rates

Group lessons $60+hst (1 hour lesson)
Private Lessons $75+hst (1hour lesson)

We also offer Rider Level Courses, and Rider Level Testing as governed by the Ontario Equestrian Federation.  Coach Carolyn Rathwell is certified to teach and test students up to Rider Level 10.
